You have to learn to take rejection not as an indication of personal failing but as a wrong address.  ray bradbury
I’m happy to say that over a 50+ year career, I’ve had very few designs rejected. However, while digging deep into the archives to work on my 12 Who Trusted series, I discovered a long-forgotten Cooperative Program campaign for Oklahoma Baptists that colored too far outside the box. I don’t know how high up the decision-making ladder the rejection came, but I still think it’s a cool concept, with its custom lettering and quirky design. I took the rejection in stride, moved to safer ground and created a campaign that pleased everyone.
